Services and history

St Leonard Justice and Bail Foundation began as a small group of individuals united by a daily commitment to prayer. Inspired by the personal story of one of our members who had experienced the Nigerian prison system firsthand, we were moved to act.

What started as simple acts of kindness, sharing food, clothing, and time with those behind bars, quickly ignited a deeper passion to create lasting change. We saw the harsh realities faced by prisoners awaiting trial without legal support or the means to secure bail, and we knew we couldn’t look away.

Driven by compassion and a belief in second chances, our initiative grew into a mission: to restore dignity, provide hope, and help break the cycle of prolonged detention. Today, we are proud of how far we’ve come and even more excited about what lies ahead.

With your support and prayers, we know we can do even more.

People and culture

Our people are the heart of everything we do. What makes us truly unique is the compassion that drives us, the shared purpose to restore hope and dignity to those who need it most.

We are strong believers in second chances. Our team is built on empathy, faith, and a deep commitment to justice. We operate as a family, supporting one another and extending that same open-hearted spirit to every volunteer, partner, and person we serve.

Whether you're joining us for a day or a lifetime, you’ll find a community that welcomes you just as you are, with purpose, passion, and a place to belong.
